happy b-day to luke.

a day off with the love of my life. i couldn't have asked for a better day. and no, it wasn't my b-day ... it was his.

he chose a morning at pike place, walking around downtown and watching "The Adjustment Bureau." believe me, i petitioned heavily for the jennifer aniston movie. but the birthday boy wins.

here's how it went:




he received several clues about his surprise.



we thought about this for a really long time. next time!



i love fancy grocery stores. just love them. i don't even have to buy anything ... just walking around makes me happy.



this is how he spent a lot of the morning taking care of work stuff.



so sweet that luke worked a trip to anthropologie into the day's agenda. good man!



while he bought donuts, i wandered into another cool grocery store. i must have read every label on every bottle on this shelf. don't know why i love it so much, but i do.

he had steak and prawns.



i had soup and a sandwich. yum!



when caleb learned about all the fun we had without him, he didn't want to talk.



but then we took him to blue c sushi at alderwood and he forgave us.
