sweetapotamus

i have so much to blog about, but i just haven't gotten it together to type the words on this screen.

so there's this. one night, i was rocking caleb to sleep ... his eyes were getting heavy, his head was snuggled sweetly into my shoulder. he was getting ready to fall asleep. i sang to him a song that got me through the first months of his life. this song made him smile, and quieted him when nothing else would.

it went a little something like this:

sweetapotamus nose,
sweetapotamus cheeks,
sweetapotamus nose,
sweetapotamus cheeks.
sweetapotamus, sweetapotamus, sweetapotamus me!

i know, i know. pretty impressive. i won't tell you who wrote this, but let me just say, she had no prior songwriting experience.
